I want to invite you to become part of our “Mission to America” campaign. This campaign intends to reach 50 cities over the next 24 months (See Journal).
Over the past 18 months, I have traveled our country and found things which not only break my heart, but I believe are breaking the very heart of God. America, once a nation under God, has ceased to be what she was. America is no longer “one nation under God,” but a multi-cultural nation with many beliefs. Morality has almost disappeared in the public sector. We have leaders who no longer honor or acknowledge God. In the Old Testament, when Israel left God, the nation suffered. America needs to turn back to the Lord.
I know that the Lord has called me to begin this campaign. This 24-month “Mission to America” campaign is intended to call us back to our moorings—to return to the faith of our fathers.
In the past, as well as now, we have sent missionaries to other countries to share the Gospel. Now it appears that we, as a nation, need missionaries to call America back to God. While in prayer, the Lord spoke to me saying, “You are one of many that I am calling to bring America back to me.” I have a mandate and a plan that God gave me.
Over the next 24 months, the “Mission to America” campaign will:
- Target churches that have less than 75 congregants. Many of these churches are pastored by bi-vocational men and women of God who work a 40-hour per week secular job and serve full-time as a minister. Some are pastoring as a labor of love, receiving little, if any, remuneration. These pastors need someone to minister to them personally, as well as to their congregations. This is something we can do. However, many small churches cannot budget for a revival, seminar, or other special meeting, but with an assistance program such as we propose, we can help take the reviving Word of God to them. We want to do one meeting a month for a these churches.
- Have a major presence on the World Wide Web. We are presently producing videos that will appear on such sites as YouTube, GodTube, and so forth. These videos will be geared to getting people back into the Bible and back to God. (See Media)
- Conduct a one-night seminar called a “Trot Thru the Bible.” This is a 90-minute multimedia presentation that will present the basic storyline of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. We will target a community by using creative advertising that is directed not only at believers but at non-believers. For the most part, these seminars will be in communities with a population of less than 5000. We want to plan at least one of these meetings every other month. - Conduct one- to three-night rallies in an auditorium in small communities, again with a population of less than 5000. Local churches will be invited to participate in this event. Local church musicians will be called upon to help us stage these one- to three-night rallies. These rallies will be times of praise and worship and, of course, the sharing of God’s Word, as well as praying for people’s needs. We will encourage participating churches to put up booths to advertise their fellowships. This will make each local participating church more visible to its community. These meetings will have a lasting effect on those who attend. We want to do at least one of these meetings each quarter.
We cannot accomplish this “Mission to America” campaign by ourselves—we need you. Here are some ways you can help:
Pray for the “Mission to America” campaign daily. To help you know how to pray we will provide information on our website about each church or city that we are going to visit. This will be a journal entry that allows you to track the progress as we plan, hold, and follow-up on each meeting. This journal will include pictures and statistics that will make the church or city come alive to you. Additionally, we will be doing e-blasts to keep you informed.
If you live in a targeted area, you can help us in the initial steps of setting up the meeting in your city. It could be as simple as getting us a list of churches, civic leaders, and other demographic material. Or you could become more involved by doing a portion of the up-front work that is necessary for the meeting to be successful.
The projected budget for this two-year program is $150,000. Love offerings from the various meetings will not meet the budget. It requires eight to ten weeks of careful planning (see timetable) and work to hold a successful meeting. Prayerfully consider becoming a partner in this two-year “Mission to America” campaign. Help us touch a segment of the church that is often forgotten—small churches and small communities—and take the Word to many who have not heard it before. Ask the Lord what your level of giving should be.
