I was born Melanie Neese in Alton, Illinois, the second of two children. During my formative years, I moved around a great deal. In 1970, I received Jesus Christ as my Savior at a summer Church camp in Washington State. I graduated from Post Falls (Idaho) High School in 1975. After two years' schooling at North Idaho College, I transferred, in 1977, to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My roommate introduced me to James in January 1978. In 1979, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Communication Arts Education and a minor in Professional Education.
One week after James and I were married (August 4, 1979), the Lord graciously healed me of a lifetime of asthmatic suffering. We have two children, Brandon and Rachel. After some prodding from God, I returned to ORU to earn a Master of Arts degree in Christian Counseling (2000).
In addition to supporting my husband in ministry, I have been active in ministering to others through teaching and counseling. I have coordinated the Calvary Temple Friday Night educational programs and support groups provided to inmates in some Tulsa, Oklahoma, Department of Corrections minimum security facilities. In this role, I led and taught various groups that were open not only to inmates, but also to anyone else who was interested. Additionally she has counseled one-on-one with various individuals. |
The joy of my heart is to see someone with life-controlling problems be helped by God through prayer, counseling, and Bible-centered learning.
I have developed some dynamic teachings. During my seminars, I share with you some of my unique insights that will help you become a more healthy and whole man or woman of God. Currently, I offer four one-day seminars:
