I came to fully know the Lord as my savior at the age of 11.  Several months later, on Palm Sunday, at the age of 12 I began my preaching career. That was over four decades ago.

I have graduated from two institutions of higher learning: John Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies (1976); Oral Roberts University with a Master of Divinity degree (1980), and with a Doctor of Ministry degree (1986).

I came to ORU in August, 1976, as a Master of Divinity student.  During my first semester, I became a Teaching Assistant in Oral Roberts’ class “The Holy Spirit in the Now.”  From that point on, the teaching ministry has been a part of my life.  Following graduation, I became a faculty member.  For over three decades, I have been associated with Chancelor Roberts’ class.

During my time at Oral Roberts Univeristy I have served on in the Undergraduate Department of Theology and in the Graduate School of Theology. I have taught Biblical, Theological, Evangelism and Preaching courses.

I have authored a number of web courses for the university.  I also contributed the commentary notes for the book of Exodus in the Spirit Filled Life Bible.

Although my major ministry was at the university, I have at times been on staff as a pastor, a conference speaker and an evangelist.  In January 2007, the Lord released me from my call as a “classroom teacher” and renewed my call as a “traveling minister.”

In April 2007, I was recognized as one of the outstanding faculty members of ORU.   I could not think of a better way to transition from ORU than on such a high note.

On June 15, 2007 I taught my last class, "Contemporary Religious Cults In America." I will miss ORU, but the Lord has called me to a new assignment. Since leaving ORU as a full time instructor, I have seen people saved, Spirit-filled, delivered, healed, and turned on to the Word of God.

In October 2010 we published our first book, You Can Survive & Even Thrive In Today's Economy. The book has been well received by the public, both in the religious and and secular realm.

There are a number of ministers who are using or teaching the book in their wednesday evening Bible studies. Others have used it as a workbook/discussion item in church cell groups. We even have a parachurch ministry using it in their teaching sessions to the homeless. We are getting some good reviews about people's lives being changed because of the book. During 2011 I marketed the book for the most part in the secular media. If you have read the book you know that it is full of the Gospel. It is another way I am a missionary to America. In late 2011 I produced a webinar that is based on the book. This seminar has been well received. To learn more about the seminar, click here.

This past year, Melanie and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary as husband and wife.  She is truly a blessing to me and a woman of God.  She not only works beside me, but has a ministry of her own. To learn more about Melanie, click here.

The thing that I find the most enjoyment in is telling people about the love of God, whether that be teaching a seminar or preaching a sermon. It is such a joy to see God at work in the lives of His children. If I can ever be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
